Metadata Import via CrossRef

Application version: OJS 3.2.x

For publication repositories, importing metadata from other sources such as Crossref is a common task, however, it seems that this has not solved yet with OJS.

For the backfiles of a journal (30 years, 300 issues, 2000 articles), we want to change the publishing platform to OJS. All the metadata is available via Crossref.

Before I start to develop - has anybody already written a script/plugin that queries the Crossref API with a list of DOIs and creates the XML import for OJS?

This would be more that usefull. Did you developed your solution?

We will go another way, because we can get the metadata from our current hoster.

You also can use R to pull matadate from crossref, articles as well.
