Journal Issue DOI not registered with CrossRef througt OJS

Describe the issue or problem
Issue DOI is not sent to CrossRef for registration. One of our journal published a new issue yesterday (https://revues.ulaval.ca/ojs/index.php/RIC/issue/view/54) but the issue DOI is still not resolving. All article DOI are correct.

Two other issues have already been published by the same journal and issue DOI was registered correctly (ex: https://doi.org/10.51657/ric.v6i1).

I have check the plug in configurations and it is set to generate/register DOI at the issue level. OJS DOI reports is only logging article DOI not issue DOI, so I am not sure of what causes the problem.

Any ideas?

What application are you using?
OJS 3.3.0.8
Thanks!

hello @pilas
which one? I see that all DOI’s are resolved.

I have read the post and the same thing happens to me.

The Crossref plugin only allows you to activate article DOIs. Although in numbers > edit > identifiers it comes out prepared.

The version in this case is 3.3.0.14. What could I do to activate the DOI with this plugin?

Also comment if it works correctly to activate DOI of articles and point out the numbers

Thanks.

I have the same issue with one of the journals on our platform (tidsskrift.dk). The journal have DOI’s for journal issues and articles. The articles are registered/activated correctly with Crossref, but so far the journal issue DOI’s are not activated (see e.g. this issue: https://tidsskrift.dk/meddrgroenland_geosci/issue/view/10165).
We published the issue first without DOI, then later added the issue DOI. This was added 5 days ago. How does the DOI get registered/activated? Anyone found a solution?

Our OJS is version 3.3.0.13.

Anyone find out a solution to issue DOI problem? I am using OJS 3.3.0.8. Issue DOIs are not activated, but article DOIs are activated through the OJS plugin.

  • Configure the DOI Plugin. Select ‘Issues’;
  • Edit the issue to add the DOI. In OJS 3.3.0.15, it only works if you save it twice. If the DOI does not appear on the Issue page, save it again.
  • Submit an article that is within this issue to Crossref. Submitting the article will cause the issue’s DOI to be registered."
