Is there a limit to how many Journals OJS can hold?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there is any limitation to how many Journals OJS can hold. Currently on version 2.4.6.

Also, do you have any hardware recommendations?

Hi @Nazimm,

The amount of traffic you receive is much more important a consideration than the number of journals. There’s no hard limit on the number of journals. In terms of hardware, it’ll depend on the operating system you use; OJS will run on almost anything, but we’ve heard, for example, that NTFS filesystems don’t perform as well because of the type of file caching that OJS uses.
