WE have few journals which use subscriptions. And until now they have been able to manage with IPV4. Now one of them would like to add a IPV6 range. I can see that there has been some older topics about this. It is possible to use IPV6 at all. We are using 3.3.0.21 and plan to upgrade to 3.5 as soon as the LTS is out. Will it first be possible to use IPV6 in 3.6?

And, it does look as though there have been some recent code commits that will make some strides towards addressing this.
@asmecher - what do you think the likelihood of this recent work being included in a future release will be?
