Installing Portico Plugin

Hello,

We are looking to install the Portico Preservation plugin, which is detailed on the historical forum:

It is stated here that the plugin runs on versions of OJS 2.4.4 +

Unfortunately we are running a heavily modified version of OJS 2.3.1.2 which we cannot upgrade.

We are hoping someone may be able to give us some pointers on what would be involved in translating this plugin to work on our version.

That’s a tall order. Rather than spend a lot of effort trying to backport the plugin into OJS 2.3.x, I’d strongly recommend spending that effort in moving your customizations forward into a more current version of OJS, such as 2.4.8. A tool such as Git can help you track and manage your customizations in a way that will keep you from being locked out of upgrades.
