Insert block plugin view into home-page

Hi all

I have installed the Popular Articles plugin in my OJS installation and I would like to display its output in the content of my homepage, rather than the sidebar. I have seen examples in other installations where plugins are displayed in header or body so I think it is possible. I would have thought that by copying the correct code (hook??? include???) in the appropriate place of /templates/index/journal.tpl would do the trick… but al my efforts failed.

I would really appreciate any help with it.

I’m not sure how other users have done this, but it’s definitely not something that the stock plugin includes, so I suspect they’ve modified some code. You might try asking those journals directly if they’d be willing to share their changes. Alternately, write up what you’ve tried here and I should be able to provide some general guidance.

Hi asmecher

Thank you very much for coming back to me. I have given up on that plan for the moment as I have to meet a deadline. I may come back to it at a later date but thank you very much anyway for your speedy response.
