IndexNow (Indexing of journals with Bing, Yandex, ...)

It seems that Microsoft Bing and other search engines have turned from sitemaps and crawling to IndexNow which provides an API for submission of URLs for indexing. As far as I see from the Bing webmaster tools for a journal, sitemap coverage for this journal is now very low, and Bing promotes IndexNow strongly. Are there any plans at PKP to implement a solution or a plugin? @asmecher

Here’s a very simple plugin to do that for OJS 3.5.0. It’s something thrown together on a Friday afternoon, and not released to the Plugin Gallery yet, but you’re welcome to try it out and extend it.

@asmecher Short update: I’m working on extending the plugin so that a whole sitemap can be submitted. You will receive a PR in due time.
