Incorrect statistics reprot

The statistics of about the general report incorrect numbers related to articles received, peer reviewed, accepted and published. For examples the published articles for issue 1 volume 2 were 11, but the report reported only 7. Here is the link

Hi @abdalla_hwuegi,

It looks like you’re asking about OJS. What version are you using? (Please include this in your reports.)

Hi Alec, many thanks for your quick response. Yes I am asking about OJS. We are using 2.4.8.1. version. Regards.

Hi @abdalla_hwuegi,

The cutoff date (the year you select) is applied to the date of submission, not e.g. publication – this can occasionally result in numbers that seem incorrect, but this is done to avoid double-counting.

Dear Alec,
Many thanks. How we can avoid this discrepancies in the reported numbers in
statistics and the actual numbers?.

Hi @abdalla_hwuegi,

The statistics are valid; as with statistics in general, it’s important to know how they’re generated. If you want standardized statistics, I’d suggest looking at the reporting tools available in the Journal Manager’s interface (e.g. COUNTER reports).
