Import one Journals for Site Management

Dear friends,

It’s possible import a Journals that is in OJS 3x to a Site Management that is also in the OJS 3x version (this already hosts more than 20 magazines). This import is only one Journals for a Site Management.

If I understand correctly you want to migrate one journal from one OJS to another OJS, where already several journals. That is possible, but with some handwork and limitations:

  • what you can do is to create manually a new journal on the second OJS (and configure it the same way as the original one)
  • then use native XML export/import to transfer all articles from the original journal to the newly created journal

Note that all article IDs and URLs to articles will change.
