We’ve recently upgraded to OJS 3.3.0-13 and are facing a lot of performance issues. As a result of which, we are trying to resolve this as much as possible by disabling elements that are not of much use to us.
One such query of mine would be regarding Usage Events & Usage Statistics plugin. Can someone share the implications of disabling/removing this plugin from my instance? What would this affect, is it really necessary to have this? Is this solely for statistics or does the removal of this affect some important functions of OJS?
Before trying to strip down the installation, I’d suggest investigating whether you have some underlying performance issues that can be solved. See my suggestion on the other thread:
