We are using OJS 3.2 and have a journal that would like to change/shorten their URL. I’m wondering if there are any implications for doing this? For example, complications with DOIs or anything we should be aware of that could have a (negative) effect. Thank you in advance.
Hi @nwojcik
Changing a journal’s URL will break any link to the old URL unless you create redirects to preserve them. This means DOIs, author dashboard links, reviewer one-click review links, citations used in other journals, and so on. You’d also possibly affect Google Scholar or regular web crawling as well.
