Image upload return 0 bytes on public directory & empty mime types on database

Hi,

I have an issue when i upload images, when i upload an images the file type stored on temporary_files is

1. inode/x-empty
2. application/x-empty

There’s no clue about error log, because there’s no error output on error_log files.
Any solution about this issue ?

My server is running on LiteSpeed, PHP version 7.3.x, OJS version 3.3.0.13 & 3.3.0.16, mod_sec is off.

Here’s my php.ini configuration for handle file upload

You are running two instances, with different versions, of OJS simultaneously. Can you clarify, this please?

I have several OJS web on my server, with different domain.

balabla1.com is OJS v3.3.0.13
blabala2.com is OJS v3.3.0.16

Both they are affected by these error.

Hi @Salam_Al-Khammasi, Thanks, that helps, and confirms my suspicion about security tools outside of OJS being the cause. If others are encountering this problem, please ensure that there isn’t a server-side security tool that’s quarantining uploaded files. Regards, Alec Smecher Public Knowledge Project Team

As I wrote there, I’m fairly sure it’s caused by an external tool on the server such as a virus scanner.

Rather than divide support efforts into two threads, I’ll close this one; please continue on the other.
