I want to create new unique dropdown box in the submission process

We would like to create a new dropdown box in step one of the submission process- something similar to ‘journal section’ but would read ‘Article type’. It could even replace ‘journal section’. Is this possible, and how would I go about doing it?

I presume you’re asking about OJS. What version of OJS are you using? (Please include this information in your posts!)

I believe it is 2.4.x ? But I’m not sure…

Hi @NancyM,

The process will be quite different depending on what version of OJS you’re using – and in any case it’ll require some PHP/MySQL/Smarty knowledge. If you have that, please let me know what version of OJS you’re using and I can probably identify an existing thread that provides some guidance.
