How To Set Up Downloadable Files in a Static Page?

Hi,

I would like some information on how I can set up ‘downloadable’ files (word documents and PDFs - e.g. our standard cover letter and guide for authors) for users to be able to download directly from our OJS site on static pages.

Thank you so much and looking forward to hearing from people if they know how to set up downloadable files!

You would create a static page first to hold the links to your files. http://pkpschool.sfu.ca/ojs-for-journal-managers/module-19/ shows how to do that. Upload your files into the public folder (Journal Manager → Files Browser → public), then insert the link for each of those files into the static page content.

Cheers!

Hi @rdkettering,

Thank you very much - I will definitely try that! Thanks also for the link to the module!

Hi
Is there a way to do the same for OJS 3?
Thanks,

Hi @Mouhammed_Jessam,

In OJS 3.x, you can use the Journal Library to add files, then link to them the same way from e.g. a static page.

Thanks, @asmecher.
This was very useful. I appreciate it.
Regards,

I can’t seem to find it in my site or the public test drive – is it a new plugin to be installed?

I didn’t find any documentation when googling for site:docs.pkp.sfu.ca “journal library”.

Thanks,

Hi @fgnievinski,

In recent releases, have a look at Settings > Workflow > Publisher Library.
