How to make author to be able to upload source files in copyediting phase

Dear All,
we have a journal, where articles are written in LaTeX. We ask at submission and review stages the author to upload the article in pdf format, and when an article is accepted, upload the source files in a zip. Unfortunately, there is no place where the author can upload the sources such that the files can easily moved to the copyediting phase. Actually, when we accept an article, the sources are still not present, and later if the author upload it as a revision, it cannot be transferred to the copyediting phase, nor directly uploaded there by the author.

Is there any way to overcome this leak?

Thanks in advance,
Bogi

Hi @bog,

The authors do not have permission to upload in the copyediting stage of the workflow.

One suggestion would be to ask authors to upload the zipped source files in the Submission Library in installations prior to OJS 3.2.

And in OJS 3.2- Library.

These files are available throughout the editorial and production workflow. The authors can also upload revised source files in this section if needed.

If copyeditors need access to these files, you will need to grant them permission to the submission stage of the workflow.

Under the Users & Roles menu, enable the box for submissions.

Hi @bog,

Alternatively, my colleague has suggested using the discussion tool for involving authors in the copyediting process.

Hi @pmangahis,
thanks for your answer. Yes, all these options are fine, we just wished to see the sources at the Draft Files in the Copyediting phase, and strangely, you can see many files from all stages, but no files from discussions, nor submission library. Which could solve the problem, and looks the most natural, if we could see the files from revisions when searching all stages for the correct files to select the draft files. Is it possible to do that?

Thanks again,
Bogi
