How can OJS change article file name for blind review

When an author upload a file, this file names stays with it. And the review can see the file name. This cause problem for blind review.
I have uploaded a screenshot from reviewer view. The underline file names is original file name from the author.
In some cases the author keeps the names on it. So, How can we set OJS that the system will automatically change this name. Similar to file name change after downloading.

Thank you

Hi @A_B,

OJS doesn’t do this automatically. It is incumbent on the editors or those sending information to reviewers to ensure that identifying information is appropriately removed. Please see our recommendations here: https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/learning-ojs/3.2/en/editorial-workflow#understanding-blind-review

Thank you for your reply

Hi @A_B and @rcgillis,

Actually, OJS should be taking care of this. When a file being downloaded is associated with a review that the current user is assigned to, and the review method is “double anonymous”, then the filename should be anonymized.

@A_B, are the above conditions met? (What is the review method on the assignment, and are you testing with an assigned reviewer?) What version of OJS are you using?

We are using 3.1.1.4 and we do double blind review. That would be better if the system itself rename the file name. Asking the editor or someone else do rename the file name is extra work.

Hi @A_B,

OJS 3.1 is no longer supported and out-of-date. I would recommend that you do an upgrade - this is handled differently in later versions of OJS.
