Hi, I’m using OJS 220.127.116.11 and we are having problems with e-mail notifications.
I have enabled all types of notifications in my personal profile. However, I am not receiving e-mails from reviewers when they submit their review or from authors when they submit revisions or send a message. I saw they are not activated in the e-mail section of the workflow but they are in grey and I am not allowed to activate them:

Does the email sending otherwise work? Like sending email manually to an user?

Yes, it does. We receive notifications when a new article is submitted and we can send e-mails from the platform. i have also set my e-mail addres to receive failed messages (bounce address), but still not working…
OK, I was thinking about email settings wrong. So this is not the case. Can’t help more
