Failed Ajax request for Subscription Journal

I am helping a friend, who is using OJS 3.3.30-14 and running a subscription journal. They are using PHP 8.2. And they cannot edit their institutional subscriber account.

I gave it a try. I logged in and did the following:

Click Payments
Click Institutional Subscriptions
Chose one of the subscribers and pressed the upside down triangle
Clicked Edit and got the following error: Failed Ajax request or invalid JSON returned.

They also got this Ajax issue when they attempted to activate these plugins, URN, Announcement Feed, and the Control Public Files.

When I reverted back to PHP 7.4, everything works, but they want to use PHP 8.2 and not PHP 7.4.

Can someone offer a solution to this problem? They really want to launch their site because they are happy with the new updates for OJS.

OJS 3.3.30-14 is Compatibility with PHP 8.1.

Hi @newone,

Can you check the PHP error log in situations like this? There should be a log entry that’ll pinpoint a specific incompatibility.

I can definitely check the PHP error log. But how do I I do this?

Pointers will be good.
