Error, Old submissions are not showing the files

Hi!

One of the editors of one of the journal contacted me, complaining that some PDFs had disappeared from the older versions:

It should appear something like:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-39-25
But it only appears something like (without the link to the file):
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-39-12

Looking in the submission_files table, the information about submission files is there:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-46-56
As the files:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-47-57

When I open the submission editing, it does not load the final file:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-39-38

And when inspecting the element, the following error appears:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-40-09

When I went to look at the log to access the submission edit page, I found the following error:
PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getFileId() on null in [DIR]/lib/pkp/controllers/api/file/linkAction/FileLinkAction.inc.php on line 46" while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.192.153, server: _, request: "GET /periodicos/index.php/desafios/$$$call$$$/grid/article-galleys/article-galley-grid/fetch-grid?submissionId=1211&_=1539635996189 HTTP/1.0", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock:", host: "sistemas.uft.edu.br", referrer: "https://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/desafios/workflow/index/1211/4"

Another curious thing is that I can only edit the submission when I access with the profile editor, when using user admin (root), the following message appears:
Captura%20de%20tela%20de%202018-10-15%2017-52-29
message=user.authorization.authorRoleMissing

The editor also complained about the disappearance of the authors of the submissions

Any idea?

Hi @rafaelmansilha,

Did the journal recently upgrade from OJS 2.x to 3.x?

One unusual thing I noticed in your screenshot of the submission record, is that “edição de texto” (copyediting) has a red line below it, indicating the submission is at that stage. However, when a submission has been published, it should be at the “editoração” (production) stage. Is it the same with the other submissions where the PDF link has disappeared from the published article page?

Thanks,

Hi @astevens,

It’s been awhile that we had upgrade from 2.x to 3.x, but, as the submissions are old, it’s possible that this error has been there from the last upgrade.

I’ve just checked 8 submissions that have the PDF problem, and 7 of them are at “Edição de Texto” (Copyediting) stage

Hi @rafaelmansilha,

I’m sorry for the delay in responding, but if you’re still having this problem you may need to move the submissions to the production stage, re-upload the galley files, and reschedule them for publication. I would try that at least and see what happens.

Best,

Thanks for your attention @astevens , I’ll be passing this information to editors, I believe they will have to create another submission, since as shown above the file submission window does not finish loading

Thanks,
Rafael Mansilha.
