Error in the "How to Cite" plugin

Dear PKP leaders,

In names that contain an accent on the first letter, such as “Ítalo,” the plugin is unable to abbreviate the “I” and instead displays the full name. It only works if the accent is removed; however, removing the accent results in a spelling error in the full name.

Hi @Lima.Carina,

I think you’re encountering this issue in the citeproc-php library that we use to generate citations. It’s not fixed, but there is a suggested patch if you’d like to try that.
