Error 500 after migrating host

Our webmaster has migrated our website to another server and we are unable to load any file. Comparing the ancient installation and the new one, I can see that he forgot to include the folder ojs-upload, and I can find all the files that I’m looking for there. But now, I need to be sure how to make available the files directly on the new host.

Can I just copy and paste all the files directly on the new server, as it was on the ancient one?

Hi there,

If you’re referring to the files_dir directory for uploaded submission files, then yes, you can just FTP those over, provided you preserve the directory structure and make sure that the file permissions are set correctly. And remember that it should reside outside of your web root for security reasons.
