I want know if I config the OJS for realize all the editorial process in OJS in the version actual (2.4.8.1) that we have and if we want migrate to the last version
this config it lose or this keep in the database independently of that it migrate the plataform?

Hi @christian_criollo,

I’m not totally sure I’m following the question, but I’ll take a couple of runs at it:

If you’re interested in upgrading to a newer version of OJS, the upgrade script will modify your database to adapt it to the new version. If you want to for example make a test upgrade, you’d need to make a copy of your database first in a new location and have the new version work with that version instead.

If you’re interested in upgrading to OJS 3.0, there are many editorial differences so a perfect migration of your old settings to your new ones is impossible. However, the upgrade script does the best it can, and if you review the settings pages afterwards and take a bit of time to learn the new workflow, the impact can be minimized.
