Editing - Copyediting - Initial Copyedit REQUEST/INITIATE puts a date in the field, but I’m not sure if a request is actually sent, and to whom. The Copyedit Instructions state: “The journal copy editor will edit the text”, but I don’t see where that position is defined.
I as an Editor of that submission did not receive any request.

*** update *** Was sent to the relevant OJS 2 manual documentation; it appears all is as it should be, no emails are sent. It’s just a bit confusing with the inconsistencies between Editor / Section Editor / Copyeditor terms. But I do understand now that if a separate Copyeditor is specified, then there will be an email flag instead of the “Initiate” link.
