Disabled emails appear in email lists

Using postgreSQL 9.6.15 and php 7.2.26 with OJS 3.1.2-4.

In several places a considerable number of irrelevant choices are provided for which email template to use. For example, when sending review requests editors see 52 choices and it can be hard to find the right one if it isn’t the default.

I’m not sure if the list is intended to be pruned, but there is at least one error in that the list includes emails that are disabled. For example, PROOFREAD_LAYOUT_REQUEST and the three LUCENE templates show as not enabled in Settings->Workflow->Emails (and they have enabled=0 in the table email_templates), but they appear in the list. (We don’t use Lucene.)

Thanks,
Brendan.

Hi, two years later we still have not been able to solve this problem. There are lots of prepared emails that are disabled but still appear in the lists of emails to choose from.
Enabling then disabling an email does not make a difference.

Thanks,
Brendan.

Hi @bdm,

Are you still using OJS 3.1.2-4, as in your original post?

Just a note that this version of OJS is no longer supported by PKP. I recommend that you upgrade to the newest version of OJS, as it is possible that your issue will be resolved by upgrading. However, other community members may wish to offer assistance.

Upgrading instructions are available in the PKP Administrator’s Guide.

Information about the latest version of OJS can be found on the PKP Website
