Custom metadata field to be added by journal manager/editor and displayed in article page

Hi,
is there a way to add a custom metadata field to be added by journal manager/editor and displayed in article page? I followed the steps in this thread

Is it possible to add custom metadata fields to OJS 3 (for example, a Dublin Core “description” field)? Or are there any plugins that can help with this? If not, are there any instructions for doing so?

but it seems they don’t work for recent versions of OJS.
