Custom css uploaded no more available in user interface (OJS 3.2.1-2)
In OJS 3.2.1-2 the custom .css (Settings>Website>Advanced > Journal style sheet) is no more avalaible as a link after it has been uploaded. In this way, the file content is no more available after upload, as it was in 3.1.2-4, and can only be deleted.
Is it possible to restore the function, or add a “download” button?
Best regards
Stefano
Hi @bolelligallevi
Eventhough there is no download link for your custom css, you may probably see the content of your custom css file by using developer tools of your browser. You may find the link to your custom css file between <HEAD>
tags.
Then you may display the content of css on your browser. Can you try it?
Regards,
Hi @drugurkocak, thank you very much, I tried and it works.
I think that the previous link was more useful and handy, don’t you think so?
It would be hard to restore?
Best regards
Stefano
Hi @bolelligallevi
I am glad to hear that it worked. Mine was just suggession for a quick fix.
You are right and I think the developers might improve this function in the future.
Regards,
Thank you very much for your feedback @drugurkocak.
Can @asmecher, @NateWr or someone else from PKP tell me how to ask for having restored the style sheet as link (or viewable/downloadable in some way) in future versions?
Best regards
Stefano
Hi @bolelligallevi, we don’t have any plans to do that at this time but we’ll certainly keep it in mind for future work.
Can someone suggest a website where I can download free journal-style sheets? I have an OJS website with a low-quality design, I want to improve the design like this website “https://systems.enpress-publisher.com/index.php/index/index”. If anyone can help me, please contact me. My website is this one.“https://www.jspae.com/”
Hi @Ali2
Your OJS site uses OJS 3.3.0.12. If you mean themes, you may find some free and nice themes at plugin gallery
- Login to backend
- Go to Website → Plugins → Plugin gallery
- You may try Bootstrap 3, Health Sciences, Material Theme, Immersion, Pragma on so on.
You may try Old Gregg theme by @Vitaliy also.
https://github.com/Vitaliy-1/oldGregg
If you have plenty of time to deal with, you may also try the Academic Free theme by @openjournaltheme
