Current issue is set to latest issue published and does not abide by the ordering in back issue

Describe the issue or problem
Current issue is set to latest issue published and does not abide by the ordering in back issue menu. The Archived issues do abide by the ordering in the back issue menu.

Steps I took leading up to the issue
Visit https://wmpllc.org/ojs/index.php/jom

Click on Current Issue. Currently set to 21/7 which is a special issue that was recently published.

Click on Archives. Currently set to 21/3 which is the what we selected in the back issues menu for journal order.

What application are you using?
For example, 3.3.0.20

Additional information
Please add any screenshots, logs or other information we can use to investigate this problem.

Hi @radjr,

I’ve seen this occur before due to the date of the issue being incorrectly set. Can you verify that you’ve set the date for the issue with the correct date that is most recent (In Back Isssues - Issue Data - Date published - for the particular issue that is creating your problems).

Thanks Roger. In the old OJS 2.4.x, you could make any issue display as the current issue by picking the appropriate issue to display as current. OJS 3.3.x impies with the order tab that the current issue is at top regardless of the publish date. In this case we want the current “regular” issue (21/3) to be “current” and the “special issue” (21/7) to NOT display as the current issue under the current tab. Thanks for your help.

Just click the little triangle left to the issue you want to make current and choose “Current Issue”.

Holy Cow! That worked. Thanks! Never saw that….even though I am sure I saw that many times.
