We have recently installed OJS 3.5.0.5, and I have problems with the functionality in the Crossref Manager Plugin. The problems are not new, but I need them fixed more urgently as I need to resubmit a large number of DOIs to have affiliations and RoRs included (this works in the current version!).
When I use the Bulk Action to change the status for DOI from Registered to Needs Sync for more than 1 article, this works.
But when I then tick off e.g. 3 articles needing sync and use the Bulk Action to Deposit DOIs, only 1 of them appears in the file that CrossRef say they have received. But the status in OJS is changed to “Registered” even if only 1 of the 3 is actually updated.
a) I get a false update status
b) It seems I need to submit each journal individually, which will be quite some work with 700 current records with CrossRef.
What should I have done differently - what can you do with the Plug-in?
Hi all, hmmmm… I have just tested this locally and I could deposit all selected (in my case 3) DOIs successfully. So, it would be great if some of you could investigate where is the problem. I also do not understand why this would happen: For the selected submissions, jobs will be dispatched, one job per submission. Thus the submissions one by one are registered and their DOI status updated.
How are your jobs run? When you select several submission DOIs do you see those jobs dispatched and then run successfully (not ending in the failed_jobs table)?
Any further information would be helpful.
Best,
Bozana
