Combined volume/issue numbers

How can I put volume/issue numbers like eg. 8/9, 8-9?

The system wouldn’t let me through with options mentioned above (slash, hyphen).

At a glance, that would cause trouble with at least one downstream metadata format, unfortunately – MEDRA’s JournalVolumeNumber field, which is fed from the volume field in OJS, does not support non-numeric content.

I need put hyphen to volume number eg. 5-6, but I can’t. Could you help me?

I think you’ll find the answer to your question here: Combined volume/issue numbers. I’ve merged these topics as I think they are similar.

Unfortunately the volume number field does not support non-numeric content like hyphens.
