There does not seem to be a way to include captions with any of the images we upload. This is a problem, as we often use original artwork and we need to acknowledge who created it.
Any suggestions?

Where are you adding the images - as part of your galleys (as dependent files)?

Yes, as part of the galleys for both the front page of the issue and for each article.
Also, in the next few issues we will have creative contributions which will, I expect, be uploaded as galleys.

there is the ability to add captions as well as associated information, although you might have to tweak your dependent file settings (component types: to have a filetype for the types of materials you are using. This is documented here: https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/learning-ojs/en/production-publication#prepare-and-add-galley-files (I’d recommend doing a Ctrl+F for “caption” to zero in on the relevant part). There is the ability to have caption, credit, copyright owner, as well as permission terms.
