Author is visible by Reviewer after accepting review

Hi all,

I’ve ran into an issue where a reviewer is able to review the name of the author, after having agreed to do the review despite having the settings set to double-blind review. The journal is running OJS 3.1. I thought that it might have been related to this: Merge pull request #1195 from bozana/master · pkp/ojs@b2ac1a1 · GitHub

However, those changes are still in place and its still occurring.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Roger

Hi @rcgillis,

This is in OJS 3.1.0-0 or 3.1.0-1? There have been quite a few changes related to reviewers and blind reviews, so a quick solution will probably be to upgrade – but off the top of my head, could this be Author names can be exposed to some reviewers · Issue #3070 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub?

Thanks @asmecher it’s 3.1.1, actually, so I figured these changes would be in there. But also, this is not the same case. In this case the review is not completed, but yet the reviewer still sees the name listed alongside the title.

Hi @rcgillis,

Is that 3.1.1-0, or 3.1.1-1 (or 3.1.1-2)?

Sorry - I got it wrong – that’s 3.1.0.1.

Hi @rcgillis,

Gotcha. Is upgrading a possibility? The review blinding has been overhauled since 3.1.0-1, so that might be the quickest and best solution.
