Author Guidelines can't be saved

  • Application Version - 3.2.1.1
  • Description of issue - Author Guidelines can’t be saved. Only a few words in a single line can be saved. As soon I add new line, or do any formating (e.g. bold) it shows following note: "An unexpected error occurred. You may have been logged out. Please reload the page and try again."
  • Steps you took leading up to the issue - Just trying to add Author Guidelines by copying text (unformated) from MS Word.
  • What you tried to resolve the issue - Tried to enter text manualy.

  • Error log messages if applicable

Please help. Our journal is under evaluation and this is a big issue in evaluation.

Hi @Vladanoid,

Use your web browser’s inspection tools to find out what the response code is when OJS tries to save the guidelines. I suspect you’ll see a 403 code or something similar. If you do, it’s likely that your server has mod_security or something similar installed, and that it’s intervening to prevent your settings from being saved.
