Applicability of css files from 2.4.8 on OJS 3.0 platform

Is there anyone who tried to implement css files from version 2.4.8 on OJS 3.0 platform? Compatibility, different design etc?

Hi @vvucic,

I don’t think there’s any way to adapt OJS 2.x CSS for 3.x without a profound rewrite – though I can’t comment on any of the OJS 2.x custom work that replaced template, e.g. the OJS 2.x bootstrap theme, as we didn’t write it.

Does that mean that all who upgrade on OJS 3.0 should be ready to more or less complete change of customized css files?

Hi @vvucic,

OJS 3.0 introduces a complete – and badly needed – user interface rewrite. Out of the box it’s much more modern and easy to theme, but you won’t be able to apply your OJS 2.x stylesheets to it.
