Hi,
We are experiencing an issue with the automatic email reminders OJS send to reviewers when the review is overdued. The problem is they are getting this messages 13 days before reaching the deadline.
Here it is an example of message sent yesterday reminding an overdued review which it’s deadline is May 28 (personal data is been suplied with xxx):
Is it possible to set up when this notifications are sent?
There are 2 kinds of reminders, which may use the same email template: reminders for reviewers to confirm whether they’ll do a review, and reminders to ask reviewers who have already confirmed to complete the review. The times for each of these are set in Journal Setup, step 2.

The second reminder is set to 0 days after review’s due date, but the system is sending this reminders to reviewers when still remains 13 days to reach the due date…
Dear @asmecher
we too have the same problem described by celuloide.
Besides, we are experiencing an other problem: in our case the email reminder is sent even if the reviewer has already finished his review and has recorded his recommendation on the site.
Plus reviews are highlighted as overdue even if we are not past the deadline.
Can it be a problem of interpreting the date format in the new ojs version?
It’s really annoying… to avoid problems we deactivated the automatic emails but this is not a solution to the problem.
Any sujestions?
Hmm, strange – the review reminder code (in classes/tasks) didn’t change between OJS 2.4.5 and OJS 2.4.6. Are you sure you don’t have a development server that’s accidentally sending out emails from an older version of your database, or something like that?

Is there an option to add editor or section editor as BCC at automated reminder. Or maybe an automated reminder to an editor that reviewer still did not answer to request after some time
