We have a multi-journal site running on OJS 3.1.1.2. On of our journals added a new announcement and sent out notification e-mails. The problem is that the notification was in Norwegian and not English which is the default language of the journal and also the whole site. Norwegian is only a UI language for this journal. We were wondering if it had anything to do with the language preference set by the users, but those users we have checked (that received the e-mail in Norwegian) had not selected any language. Any solution to this?

I believe that the notifications are sent in the current UI language. So, if you are using English UI, then the messages will be in English. If you are using Norwegian UI, the messages will be Norwegian.
