Announcement block on ojs 3.4.0-8

hello everyone, sorry if I open a post that may have already been widely discussed but with the search button I have not found an answer.
in ojs 3.4.0-8 the blocker can no longer be inserted in the right bar?
I don’t see the dedicated plugin anymore.
am I doing something wrong?

Actually, I would caution against using that plugin since it hasn’t been tested for 3.4.

I had downloaded another version of the plugin before and it crashed.
but with this one you sent me with ojs 3.4.0-8 it works perfectly.
if it can be useful as a test, I would say test passed!

Hi @simgiallorosso,

Glad to hear it worked. It doesn’t look like it’s being actively updated, though, so just note that it may not always be available into the future as you go to upgrade to future versions of OJS.

the other day I tried to reply to this previous post of mine from my smartphone, but clicking on reply did not give me the chance to reply. I do not know why, and I thought the post was closed.

only one announcement is displayed even though I have set three in the plugin, as you can see from the attached screen.

could you tell me why?

Thanks for the update. And no worries about the other post - I appreciate you posting and keeping things foxed here on this post. Are you able to share a link to your site, so I can see how this is rendering on the front end? From there I can try to test it out.

Hi @simgiallorosso,

I think it might be that your character limit is set to 50 - the announcements displaying on the block that you have now might run up against this. Can you try upping the limit to see if that works?

thanks for your help.
I brought it to 200 characters, unfortunately nothing changed.

I also tried leaving the field empty. it puts the entire description of the only announc that shows
