After editing the editor's affiliation, all contributors appears on monograph (edited volume) landing page OMP3

Dear Team & @Dulip_Withanage
Recently, I updated the affiliation of the editor for an already published edited volume; after that landing page includes all contributors instead of just showing the editors. Relevant information to reproduce are as follows-

  • Software OMP3.2.1.1
  • Unpublish an already published edited volume (It was published in earlier version before upgrading to 3.2.1.1)
  • Edit affiliation of the editors (earlier it was blank and hence I updated their affiliations and selected as volume editor)
  • Publish monograph again (I already checked the setting on the top to select as edited volume)
  • Landing pages start showing all contributors (chapter authors); it seems after editing the system can not associate with the volume editors for the submission.
Those editors appear under the contributor list but without marking as editor (ed).

Thanks

Dear Team!
Just an update regarding this, that even new submissions also have same behavior; all contributors appear on monograph landing page in edited volume.
Note: I made submission as press editor and added contributors as volume editor (also set publication as edited volume).
Thanks

Hi @NateWr!
I just saw the issue you filed at [OMP] Series is not saved when editing publication · Issue #6194 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub
Is it possible that the filed bug is also causing the issue I reported above for not recognizing volume editors in the series publications?
If possible, I would request you to look at this issue as well After editing the editor's affiliation, all contributors appears on monograph (edited volume) landing page OMP3 for listing all contributors at the landing page of an edited volume (published within a series).

Thanks in Advance

Hi @aabahishti,

When editing a contributor, there should be a checkbox to identify a contributor as an editor of the volume. Can you check to see if this is checked?

The last checkbox option of identifying this contributor as the editor is not available showing in my installation (OMP3.2.1.1 updated from omp3.2.0.3)

Where should I look for a solution if its only in my installation?

Hi @NateWr & @Dulip_Withanage
Today I started the investigation by disabling all plugins and found that I had Author Requirement Plugins that was causing this issue GitHub - ewhanson/authorRequirements: A plugin for OJS (Which seems not the official one). Sorry for it, I shall use only official plugins available in Plugin Gallery.
Thanks @NateWr for the support and hint to solve the issue.
Thanks & Regards
