Accept Submission: Select Files -> Empty list of files

Steps I took leading up to the issue

  1. Accept submission
  2. Go to Step 3 “Select files”
  3. There are no files to select, the list of files is empty.

The same here (OJS 3.4.0-5), the dialog in the last screenshot above is misleading and leads to misunderstandings among editors.

There is neither a dropdown area where one can drop files to be used later in the copy editing stage, nor there is a file dialog where one can choose files from the Revisions or Review Files area.

The last step of the “Accept Submission” workflow should be relabelled therefore.

Only in the copy editing phase that starts after this dialog, it is possible to upload files.

Has been closed by the PKP/OJS development team.

But in my opinion, and for my cutomers too, this is a significant loss of usability compared to the previous version. The entire publishing workflow is useless if in this step we cannnot choose from the Review Files.
