User Registration Issue

In the “User Registration” section, I have selected the option “Visitors can register a user account with the press”, but visitors are still unable to register. They receive the message: “This press is currently not accepting user registrations.” Could you kindly advise on how to resolve this issue?

Can you please indicate which version of OMP you’re using (e.g. 3.3.0-13)? When users go to the register option, like here: https://omp34.testdrive.publicknowledgeproject.org/index.php/td-press/user/register

What happens? Or does the register option just not appear on your site?

I wanted to follow up regarding the user registration issue. After locating the Better Password plugin and unchecking it, the issue persists. I am still unable to enable visitor registration. On the Register page, I continue to see the message: “This press is currently not accepting user registrations.”

I have verified that the User Registration setting is correctly configured, with the option “Visitors can register a user account with the press” enabled. Despite this, the registration issue remains unresolved.

Could you kindly assist me in troubleshooting this issue further? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @OJSOMPuser,

If you navigate (as Manager or Admin) to…

  • Settings > Users & Roles > Roles
  • Find the role for which you wish users to be able to self-register
  • Extend the menu on the row and click “Edit”

Is the self-registration checkbox checked?

Also check whether in

  • Administration >
  • Hosted Presses >
  • Your Press settings

You have Enable this press to appear publicly on the site checked.
