No, not yet – but that’s a request we’ve heard from several users and will likely address in a future release.

As a workaround, we used the submission field “Comments for the Editor”, with a custom caption. We used the “Custom Locale” plugin to modify the following keys in file locale/en_US/author.xml:
author.submit.commentsForEditor
author.submit.comments
