Search box on site page

Currently testing OJS 3.1.1; it is a huge improvement over previous versions.

One thing I can’t figure out is how to activate search functionality at the site-level. All is OK at journal-level.

I’ve added Search as an item to a new Nav. Menu via via Administration - Site Settings - Navigation Menus. But no go.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi @bernieh,

This is currently not possible. There are two issues filed related to this:

I think we will support it in the future, but I can’t say it’s been a big priority. In the meantime, the first issue linked above describes a small code adjustment you can make to get the search to appear on the homepage.

Thanks, @NateWr; much appreciated.

@NateWr , I want to know if it is not possible now in version 3.2.1.4

thanks

Hi @Humberto_Blanco_Cast,

You should be able to access a site-wide search by adding /search to the end of your journal index page url, as explained in this forum post. I’m not sure if that’s exactly what you’re looking for.
