ROR: What does this mean?

Describe the problem you would like to solve
I’m not an academic, but I support OJS installations and part of 3.5 includes “ROR” which is something to do with multiple affiliations for an author and includes some form of icon what I can tell?

OJS doesn’t explain in the code anywhere what a ROR is - some comments, or a link to a wiki article with more detail would be fantastic!

Some comments pointing me to learn what a ROR is, for someone who is not an academic

Who is asking for this feature?
This is just from a suggestion from myself - I don’t know if there’s others out there who are in a similar position to myself

Additional information
If someone can explain it to me, I’m happy submitting a MR with some comments explaining things to help others.

So I presume it means an organisation? It doesn’t quite explain why OJS now has the ability for an icon for one of these unless there’s more to it than a quick look
