ORCID: Membership or public

Hi,
We’re running an OJS platform with over 160 journal. Do we - as an institution - have to be a member of ORCID to use the options that come with the ORCID plugin in OJS?

Hi @nef
In order to use the orcid profile plugin, you need to register a personal account, and enable public api and configure redirect URL.

Thank you so much. Do each editorial team, each single journal, have to make the same setting or can I, as the administrator of our entire journal platform, provide what is needed via a central setup?

Hello @nef,

the ORCID plugin should be enabled for each journal separately - within the plugin gallery.

Hi @nef

As explained in that discussion, actually you need seperate api keys for journals having their own domains. So you had better to get an api key for each journal.
