OMP - links not active in Announcements

I was not seeing any activity on this ticket from the old forum and was wondering on an update?

Hi @EdwardDavid,

As far as I’m aware, both uploading images into announcements and placing links should be working fine. Can you re-describe the specific problem you’re encountering, and your version of OMP?

Hi @asmecher,
Management > Settings > Website > Announcements.
I click on the Announcement the image is not shown up.
If I then edit the announcement then I can see the image.
I am running OMP 1.1.1.0

Hi @EdwardDavid,

Is this an image you copy/pasted into the field, or did you hit the “Upload image” icon on the TinyMCE toolbar?
Can you compare the mark-up in the two areas to see how they differ?

Hi @asmecher,
I was able to get the image to show by using the upload image icon.
When I go to html code and add the height and width for the image they are ignored.
I discovered that I cannot resize the image. So have to use an image program to resize the image.
So outside of the resizing being ignored looks like it works.

Hi @EdwardDavid,

That sounds like it’s working. Rather than using width and height attributes to force an image to be scaled via the browser, I’d suggest using an outside application first. However, if you want to use width and height, you’ll have to add them to the list of allowed attributes for the img element in your config.inc.php file’s allowed_html directive.
