OMP 3 and favicon

Hi,

I am using OMP 3.1.2-1. It looks very strange to me, but it looks like it is not possible to set a favicon (small image in a browser tab) for the OMP. I tried to change it on the same place as for the OJS (Settings-Website-Appearance), but there is no field to select favicon.

Can you please let me know if I am looking into wrong place or the favicon is just forgotten for the OMP?

Hi Primož,

You’re right, it doesn’t appear in OMP. We are planning to change that with 3.2 and have already made a few changes to make that happen. You can follow progress here: Favicon does not work in OMP · Issue #4833 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub.

thank you for the confirmation.
Can you please let me know if I can (as a workaround) just replace the favicon file in the OMP root?

Hi @primozs,

That should work. Most browsers read directly from there in the absence of the headers.
