Sometimes emails are exchanged outside of OJS. Later, the editor might want to keep a centralized record of email exchanges in OJS. “Notes”, under Activity Log & Notes, is one way of recording arbitrary information. Unfortunately, it discards text formatting, including newlines.

Notes could support basic text formatting, either the “HTML email” subset or enriched text.

Additional information
“Review Discussions” could be an alternative, as it already supports basic text formatting, if it allowed saving messages without actually sending an email.
