No file uploaded or invalid file type!

Hi again @asmecher,

I resolved the problem (with the help of my friend Morpheus).

First I set up PHP 5.6 in the CPanel of my hosting.
Next I enabled the fileinfo extension in my PHP Selector.
Now I can upload images without problem in my installation OJS 3.0.2.

Thanks for your guidance

Hello everyone,

Thanks for this wonderful forum. I have learned a lot from the dark with you.

However, I can not upload images or css in my system. I’m under Php 7.1, and with OJS 3.0.2. I only have the message: No file uploaded or invalid file type!

The permissions of the files are correct.

Sorry for my English.

A hug

Hi @jmbarroso,

Many of the suggestions on this thread have to do with the way OJS detects uploaded files’ MIME types. Have you investigated those suggestions? If so, please describe what you’ve tried and what the result was.

Good afternoon,

I have tried with those suggestions. The only one I did not know how to do is with MIME. That can only be done by the owner of my server?

Thanks and forgive but there are things that I am still learning …

Hi @jmbarroso,

I’d suggest asking your server administrator to look at the FAQ entry linked above.

Thank you very mucha @asmecher!! I resolved it, was a problem with a path dir_files…

But now i have a problem with the navigation…

The navigation bar does not load well, and I think it causes it not to load everything well. As you can see in the image, the footer covers the section of my uploads of authorship.

Sorry for my english, and thank you very much for all the support you give (besides the great software you have done).

If you prefer to open a new topic, so I will.

A hug!

Hi @asmecher, i resolved it!!

Was a problem with an async js plugin.

Thank you very much for all!!

The problem is come back… any advice??

Hi @jmbarroso,

I’m not sure that’s the same problem – but I’d suggest opening your browser’s Javascript console to see if something relevant appears there.

What is format of image you want to upload?

Ya logré subir la imagen. La solución fue subir a php 5.6

I am facing the same issue…
please tell me which module to be activated???

Hi @ctgraham;
I am facing the issues, which module is to be activated for working properly?

The module that others have referred to in this thread is the PHP Fileinfo module.

You are right, the problem resolved after the service provider enable the PHP fileinfo module

Thanks very much, its works
