Language Science Press publishes high quality, peer-reviewed open-access books in linguistics. All publications are free for both authors and readers.
Language Science Press is supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation) during the startup phase and will continue to operate with the help of its supporters among academic linguists.
Our philosophy is that book publishing should be fully under the control of scholars because most of the traditional tasks of commercial publishers can be done more efficiently by scholars, at little or no cost due to the modern technology that is routinely available at universities.
We use the open source software Open Monograph Press to manage the workflow and publish our books. During the startup phase of the project the software is beeing customized by the team and new functions are added via plugins.
