To answer your questions:

  1. The HTML output is hooked to Templates::Article::Footer::PageFooter, so it depends where that hook is in your theme.
  2. This is also dependent on the theme
  3. At the moment there is no way to handle the order in which the plugins using the same template hook are shown. The article downloads is using the same hook as embedGalley.   4. I added this for now, but it does not look that good with mobile width, so maybe some mobile tweaking is needed.
