Hello, community!
I’m working on developing a journal submission system tailored specifically for innovators. The system is designed to streamline the process of submitting, reviewing, and approving innovations, ensuring that all entries meet the required standards before they are made publicly available.
System Workflow:
- Innovation Submission:
- Innovators will submit their innovations through the system. This could include various forms of documentation, designs, and explanations of their innovation.
- Admin Review:
- Once an innovation is submitted, it is first sent to an Admin. The Admin’s role is to perform an initial review, primarily focusing on the general format and completeness of the submission.
- If the submission meets the basic requirements, the Admin forwards it to a Board Member for a more detailed evaluation. If not, the Admin sends it back to the innovator for corrections.
- Board Member Evaluation:
- The Board Member conducts an in-depth review of the submission. They assess the validity, originality, and overall quality of the innovation.
- If the Board Member finds any issues, they will provide feedback and send the submission back to the innovator for revisions.
- The innovator then revises their submission based on the feedback and resubmits it for further review.
- Final Decision:
- After any necessary revisions, the Board Member conducts a final review. If the submission meets all the criteria, it is approved and stored in the system. The innovation is then added to a publicly accessible list.
- If the submission still doesn’t meet the necessary standards after revision, it will be rejected.
Request for Assistance: I would appreciate any guidance, advice, or resources from those with experience in developing similar systems. Specifically, I’m looking for:
- Best practices for implementing the review and feedback loops.
- Suggestions on the tech stack or tools that might simplify the process.
- Tips on ensuring data integrity and smooth communication between the different user roles.
- Any examples or case studies of similar systems that could serve as inspiration.
Thanks in advance for your help!
